Galanthus Mt Everest Rudbeckia Spigelia marilandica is very showyGalanthus 'Mt. Everest' is truly an amazing introduction in an already crowded field of snowdrops. This Galanthus elwesii hybrid (possibly with Galanthus plicatus), appeared as a seedling for Holland's Kwekerij De Schullhorn. For us, it emerges in late January with wide glaucous leaves that serve as an ample background for the very large (for a galanthus) white flowers. This is a fast multiplying selection, so it makes a superb garden specimen.
